Where the water came from changes the whole response
Category matters more than volume. A hundred gallons of clean supply water and ten gallons from a septic backup are different jobs with different rules about what can be saved.

What helps and what to leave alone
These steps genuinely change the outcome, and none of them require equipment.
- Stop the source. On a well, kill power to the pump. On town or Prescott water, close the main shutoff.
- If the water may have reached wiring, outlets or a panel, switch off the circuit at the breaker before walking through it.
- Photograph and video everything before you move anything, including the water line on the wall and any damaged contents.
- Lift what you can: rugs, boxes, electronics, anything with a wooden base sitting on wet carpet.
- Open interior doors and closets so dry air can reach the cavities, but leave windows shut if it is colder or wetter outside than in.
- Do not run a household fan across sewage-contaminated water. That spreads contamination through the air rather than drying anything.

Does dry desert air mean it will dry on its own?

What about manufactured homes?
They need different handling. The belly board under the floor holds insulation that soaks and stays wet against the structure, and it usually has to be opened, drained and dried rather than left to breathe.

Will you tear out walls straight away?
Only where the reading says the cavity is wet and cannot be dried in place. Controlled removal of a low strip of drywall is sometimes the fastest way to save the rest of the wall, but it should follow a measurement, not a hunch.
Is this the same number as the plumbing line?
